Yes, I realize that I did not do Friday Favorites on Friday. No, I do not have a good excuse. However, this post is going to be MEMORABLE MOMENTS MONDAY MOO. I don’t know why I said moo, other than it starts with M. Also it’s just been one of those days (you know, the days when all you eat is coffee and twizzlers and you count down the seconds till the bachelor comes on.) However before I begin MMMM, I feel like I need to tell you that I am writing this post from my brand new, GIANT bed. That’s right. After 20 years spent sleeping in a child’s sized twin bed and complaining of back pain every day, my parents decided it was time to get me a big girl bed. So I have a DOUBLE bed now. Yay life. (Yes, I realize how pathetic all that makes me sound. Whatevs.)
Any ways on to Memorable Moments Monday Moo where I’m going to talk about my recent trip to Erie, Pa. I hadn’t been there in four years, and going there felt so familiar and happy. I love it. Here are some of my favorite photos and things that happened while I was there.
1. Photos of my grandmother when she was young. She was totally adorable (still is) and she dressed perfectly. Also her wedding dress is gorgeous. You would literally have to chop me in half in order for me to fit.

2. Vintage treasures. I came home with lots of buttons, old thread spools, and a cool tin. I also loved finding things from my grandma’s trip to Europe in the 1950s and barbies that my mom played with when she was little.

3. We went to downtown Erie and explored an art museum, a starbucks, a historic house, and a restaurant located in an old firehouse.

4. I love the lake. It is a 5 minute walk from my grandparents’ house. I go down to the shore and dig for sea glass. It’s magic.

So those were the highlights of my trip. It was really a wonderful time.
One last thing:
If you’ve been following this blog for a while, or if you know me even a little bit, you could probably tell that this has been a very interesting, memorable, and slightly insane year. So I decided I need to commemorate it in some way. Well luckily I had a random collection of video clips from this year that I didn’t know what to do with. So here, set to one of my favorite songs, Blood by the Middle East, is (more or less) what I did this year. 2011 was wonderful. Here’s to an equally adventurous 2012!
